- Frequently Asked Questions
What areas do you service?
We currently service Kalamazoo County, Calhoun County, Jackson, and all of the areas in between. If you aren’t sure about your area, contact us as we are constantly expanding.
Do I need to be home for the service?
Nope! Our service is completely contact-free. Just let us know which areas need to be cleaned when you sign up or give us a call. We’ll handle the rest—no need for you to be home.
How do you ensure my dog's safety?
At Crew Dawg Scoops™, the safety of our clients fur babies is a top priority. After each cleanup, we disinfect our hand rake, lobby dustpan, and bottom of shoes with a powerful, kennel-grade disinfectant. This helps prevent the spread of harmful bacteria, germs, and viruses. We also provide gate pictures when we are done cleaning so you know your pets won’t be getting out of the yard.
Do you provide dog waste removal services year round?
Yes, Crew Dawg Scoops™ provides dog waste removal service year round, even in the winter.
Do you cancel for bad weather?
In the event there is severe whether that has the potential to harm our pooper scoopers, we will skip the customers yard and perform double doody on your next scheduled cleaning day. Inclement weather may make it hazardous or impossible to make a scheduled cleanup. All affected customers will be notified by text or phone call.
Do you clean yards on Holidays?
We don’t operate on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Independence day. If your normally scheduled pickup lands on one of those days, we will simply skip that day and perform double doody on your next scheduled cleaning day.
Is there a contract to sign for this service?
There are no contracts! You can start, pause, and cancel your subscription at any time by updating your customer portal or calling our office.
Will you clean with my dog in the yard?
Yes, we love cleaning with dogs! We simply ask that if your dog has shown signs of aggression, you leave them inside during our visit. Ensuring the safety of our team is a top priority. If your dog is aggressive towards our team, you will be asked to put them inside or be completely removed from our route.
Will I be notified when you arrive/leave?
Yes, you will receive a text notification when our tech is on the way to your location. You will also receive another text notification, with gate picture, when our tech is finished.
What forms of payment do you take?
We take 2 forms of payment, credit card or check. We have an online customer portal to help streamline payments. You simply upload your credit card on file. We charge monthly for subscriptions.
Do I need to cut the grass?
We do prefer that you keep the yard well maintained, free of clutter, leaves, overgrown grass, or other obstructions that may prevent us from performing our duties effectively and efficiently. If the yard is not maintained (mowed grass or in the fall the leaves aren’t cleaned up) we will get what we are able to see. There is no guarantee that all waste piles will be removed if such conditions exist.
What do you do with the waste?
Proper disposal is essential to environmental safety as dog poop is considered a hazardous material. We simply double bag the waste and place it in each customer’s trash can or neatly on the side of their house.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes, we offer a 10% discount to all senior citizens, veterans, active duty military, and first responders.
